Can't say I am impressed with I have found out about this umbrella, but to be honest when i measure it with its purpose this one is probably one of the best in class. Some people complain, but when I did research I found that they was not realistic with their expectations.
These umbrella is designed for people on the go, it is not your best umbrella which you take with yourself if you see that outside is storm, this is the best everyday umbrella that takes a small part of your purse or briefcase and is there not just in case of downpour. I am not saying that this umbrella is week as some do, you probably can't say that if you know that it's Wind-tested by the College of Aeronautics to 55 miles per hour and if manufacturers are so sure about it's quality so they give a lifetime warranty. After all, it is a GustBuster®.

B. D. Holm: Great umbrella for windy cities
This is the best umbrella I have ever owned. I used to just put away my old umbrella when it was windy, as I couldn't keep it from turning inside out without just pointing it into the wind, thereby defeating the purpose. This umbrella has lived up to it's name so far. I can feel the gusts trying to wreak havoc, but it continues to stay right side out and protecting me from the rain. It is very sturdily made, making it heavier than most compact umbrellas, but it is worth it.

C. Barrett: Ultimate Umbrella
Here in the Pacific Northwest it's pretty common to see beat-up umbrellas that are hanging on by a thread. Not the Gustbuster! This thing stands up to that "sideways rain" that we so often get. I walk to and from work, at one point crossing a bridge over open water and believe me when I say that the wind nearly stops me in my tracks some days. I LOVE my GustBuster Metro which fits in my backpack when not in use and never turns inside out when it is in use. Always there for me when I need it, just like a good friend.

R. L. Mehlberg: Wonderful umbrella
Being a college student, I needed an umbrella for all the walking I did. On those days that there was only a chance of rain, I didn't want to lug a big umbrella around. I wanted an umbrella that could fit in my backpack for easy carrying and keep me reasonably dry. All the ones I tried in the past either didn't fit in my backpack, keep me really dry, or broke when the winds got strong.

Then I tried the Gustbuster. This umbrella is the best one yet. It fits in my backpack and has kept its shape in high winds, and thus keeps me dry. It has worked prefectly for me and I am very satisfied with it.

A. Dalton: Well-made, but small
This is a well-made umbrella, but it is so small that the size defeats its purpose. In any storm in which the wind is strong enough to need a wind-proof umbrella, the rain is going to be coming in at an angle, and this umbrella is too small to protect me. I'm not sure where you have to measure this thing to get 43", but it sure isn't the diameter of the canopy coverage.

S. Lynn: Not what I expected
The umbrella seems sturdy enough, but is smaller than I thought and it advertises pinchless open and close release system, but there is no close release. The advertised "Sure-grip comfort handle" is very low quality wood. Disappointing quality for the price.

M. Snow: Gustbuster folding umbrella
The umbrella is heavier than I expected. But, the worst thing is, it is 16 inches long and does not fit in my purse. It is 6 inches longer than the one I had been using. I regret not buying the shorter, 14 inch manually operated model. The longer length is not convenient for traveling.
